Another attribute common to most anatomy and physiology students is "test anxiety". When investigated carefully, most test anxiety is a form of distress arising from not knowing how to prepare for assessments. There are several things we can do to help them learn to be more prepared. There are links on this Wiki re: strategies. Another thing we can do is to share the HAPS Verb Glossary with students. Some students literally do not know the difference between "define" and "distinguish" having the verb list in advance may help them.

The following PPTs may be used with your students if you wish.
1. Learning Styles and Time Management 2. Testing 1-2-3 3. Secrets to Making a Good Grade Each is directed at students. I've used them in both face to face and online courses. I've also used them for seminars on campus. They do work best with a "live" audience, but the online students said they found them helpful. You will probably need to edit a bit to tailor the presentations to your group if you use them. That's fine if you cite me as the originator.
